Long Stay and Active Business
Technology 2008 Exhibition at Jyväskylä Paviljonki gathered almost 11,000
visitors
The Technology 2008 Exhibition, closed last Friday, was a success. According
to preliminary counts, almost 11,000 professionals of the automation
industry visited the Congress and Exhibition Centre Jyväskylä Paviljonki
during the three exhibition days. Martti Laisi, Vice Chairman of the Finnish
Society for Measurement and Control Technology (SMSY) and Chairman of the
Technology 2008 Exhibition Committee, was very satisfied with the time the
visitors stayed at the exhibition halls.
”According to preliminary data from the visitor survey, most of the visitors
stayed at the exhibition at least for four hours, many of them the whole day
or even several days. This indicates that the Technology exhibition is not a
place to just stop by, but people are really serious about it and want to
take the most of it by familiarizing themselves with as many stands as
possible”, Mr. Laisi says and continues: "A factor with even more importance
than the number of visitors at technical professional exhibitions is the
quality of visitors, and the exhibitors seem to have been very satisfied
particularly with this. Both the visitors and the exhibitors received what
they had come here for. Regardless of the financial whirlwind, the
Technology exhibition proved to be an active business forum once again.”
The Technology 2008 Special Exhibition was arranged at the Congress and
Exhibition Centre Jyväskylä Paviljonki between the 1st and 3rd of October.
Besides the traditional core in the automation industry, the areas showcased
included maintenance, electronics, mechanics, subcontraction and ICT
solutions. Products and services of over 1,000 companies from 20 countries
were displayed.
The following Technology exhibition is arranged in 2010, October 6 to 8.
